San Jose's Newest Affordable Housing Community Dry Creek Crossing Celebrates Grand Opening
SAN JOSE, CA — September 18, 2026 — Pacific Southwest Community Development Corporation and CRP Affordable Housing & Community Development celebrated the grand opening of the newest affordable housing community in Santa Clara County, Dry Creek Crossing.
The 64-unit development is now providing individuals and families earning 30% to 70% of the area media income a place to call home. The 89,254 square foot, 6-story high rise building includes 20 one-bedroom units, 25 two-bedroom units, and 18 3-bedroom apartments serviced by an elevator. Other amenities for residents include a parking garage with 29 spaces, a lobby, a leasing office, commercial room, and bicycle storage.
The project is strategically located in a high resource area and is within a 1-mile raidus from other amenities including public transit, parks, schools, grocery stores, and pharmacy and medical services.
As Dry Creek Crossing's Managing General Partner, Pacific Southwest CDC is set to provide free on-site resident services that targets adult and school-aged residents. Adult services will target a variety of support such as English as a Second Language (ESL), health and wellness seminars, and other skill-building activities. An afterschool program to assist in tutoring, mentoring, homework help, arts and crafts activities and other fun learning objectives will be offered to children.
"Our mission is not to only develop much needed afordable housing," said Juan Arroyo, Executive Vice President of PSCDC, "but also to provide educational and essential services that promote social and economical stability."
At the celebration, the City of San Jose was represented by Mayor Matt Mayhan, Vice Mayor Pam Foley and Deputy Housing Director Banu San.
