On August 7th, Chatham Village children in Orange County were treated to a personal soccer clinic with the legendary San Diego Sockers soccer star Juli Veee. As a fellow advocate in getting youth outside to play and exercise, Juli Veee has helped PSCDC residents in staying active and having fun.

Mostly known for his domination inside the San Diego Sports Arena, the Hungarian-born star cemented his legacy within Sockers history with 254 goals, 214 assists, and five indoor soccer championship in his 11-year tenure as a Socker. During his time, he also held many of the team’s scoring records such as: most goals in a game (6, twice); most consecutive games scoring a goal (37); most assists in a game (5); most career playoff games (122). He retired in 1988 and was inducted in 1997 into the San Diego Brietbard Hall of Fame, the first soccer player to receive the honor. In 2011, Juli was selected as an inaugural member of the Indoor Soccer Hall of Fame.

Outside the pitch, Juli now fully pursues his passion in the arts and receives commissions for his artworks. Some notable commissions are his portrait of former California governor and San Diego Mayor Pete Wilson and an Official Artist for SOCCERFEST designated by WORLD CUP USA 1994.

For eight years, Juli Veee has become an important partner with PSCDC in providing our residents a brighter and healthier future. Extending his popular soccer and painting clinics throughout our properties in Orange County, San Diego County, and Imperial Valley as often as twice a week, he quickly became a star to our residents. In addition, he has helped to obtain donations of authentic Sockers gear and tickets for residents and PSCDC supporters. PSCDC is always grateful to continue to work with Juli Veee to inspire our residents and to help them shoot for their own goals.
